Central Park Villas Moves Forward on Murchison Road

Plans for Central Park Villas are moving forward with the Fayetteville Metropolitan Housing Authority (FMHA) leading the proposed development. The community would bring 84 affordable apartments to approximately 6.3 acres of City-owned land at the Catalyst Site I along Murchison Road.

City Council supported FMHA proceeding under the same terms previously authorized for the project, with any changes to those terms returning to Council for consideration. Council will review the proposed design and concept soon, and community input sessions will be held in the coming months to give residents an opportunity to learn more and share their feedback.

Central Park Villas is a separate development from the Murchison Choice Neighborhoods grant-funded redevelopment, but it supports the broader vision for the corridor by expanding affordable housing options and bringing new investment to long-vacant property.
